A Cookeville man is behind bars for accidental shooting that left him and another woman injured.
45-year-old Michael David Bray faces a reckless endangerment charge from incident that occurred Monday night on Flower Lane.
Police say Bray shot himself in the thumb and the bullet continued traveling striking the woman in the torso.
Police called the shooting an accident, but chose to charge Bray for allegedly pointing the weapon at another man at the home.
The woman’s condition not known at this time.
Bray received treatment then proceeded to the Putnam County Jail for booking.
