Crossville’s Plateau Creative Art Center Hosts Paint with Pastels

Beverly Olin offers a three session Paint with Pastels class on techniques for pastel painting on Wednesdays from 1 to 3:30 pm at the Plateau Creative Arts Center in Fairfield Glade. The cost is $51 for members and $66 for non-members. Students are asked to bring a selection of photographs as reference material for their painting.

There are several supplies that students should also bring including a selection of pastels (soft pastels, Nupastels (harder), and pastel pencils), papers foam core board and tape, acetate sheet or was paper, paper towels, and a old towel. A complete list of supplies will be available at registration. A selection of papers will be available to purchase from the instructor for $1 to $4 per sheet. Crossville’s Fair Park Senior Center Hosts Dog Training Classes

Bring your dog to learn new tricks at the Dog Training Classes at the Fair Park Senior Center in Crossville. The classes are held on Wednesdays and the schedule is as follows:
6 pm – Beginning Obedience – A class to teach your dog the basics.
7 pm – Drop-in Conformation – Come as you need or want to.
8 pm – Rally – A “nicer” form of obedience. You must take Basic Obedience first.

The obedience and rally class series is 10 weeks in length. Drop-In Conformation classes are $5 per dog per night. Most classes are $100 for the 10 week sessions. The Walk-In Painting Class will be on Tuesday, June 10 from 2 to 4 pm at the Plateau Creative Arts Center in Crossville. The class is $17 for members of the Art Guild and $22 for non-members. No registration is required.

The class is conducted by Eric Buechel. Eric’s class will be conducted with oil or acrylic mediums, and each student will choose their own landscape painting image.
